Feeding your pets.

Don’t Forget to Feed Me is a conduit through which donated pet food reaches families in need. DF2FM manages the collection of pet food and allocation to distribution partners around the area, who then in turn distribute it through their normal channels to their clients.

DF2FM does not provide pet food directly to individuals; it is distributed through our partners. Those seeking assistance must visit a partner location and confirm eligibility and distribution details with them. Pet food is intended to help keep pets in their homes—not for strays, feral colonies, or fosters. Due to limited resources, we must stay focused on this mission. For other needs, please contact the appropriate agencies.

DF2FM Distribution Partners

Frequently Asked Questions

Each distribution partner uses different schedules and has different documentation/identification requirements for client assistance. Please contact your chosen distribution partner for these answers.

Each distribution partner has different rules about where you need to live to get assistance. We suggest contacting the distribution partner closest to your place of residence.

All of our distribution partners serve many, many deserving clients every day. To ensure fairness and that their supply of pet food goes to the most people possible, they portion out the pet food. If you feel that you have a special case and need more food than they provided to you, please contact the distribution partner and ask to speak to someone who can help with this issue.

Pet food received via DF2FM is meant to keep pets in their homes and should not be used for strays, feral colonies, fosters, etc. While we understand the need, we have limited resources and must stay within our mission. Please contact the appropriate agencies for assistance.

We give what we have. We cannot guarantee any brand or type of pet food nor can we provide prescription diets as we do not have a veterinarian on staff.

Don’t Forget to Feed Me does not deliver pet food to clients. We simply do not have the resources, volunteers, staff, funding, transportation, etc. to do this. Some partners may deliver (Meals on Wheels, Community Link, etc.). We suggest you contact your distribution partner to inquire further.

Each of our distribution partners has their own rules about picking up pet food for another individual.

Pet food received via DF2FM is meant to keep pets in their homes and should not be used for strays, rescue groups, feral colonies, fosters, etc. While we understand the need, we have limited resources and must stay within our mission. Please contact the appropriate agencies for assistance.

DF2FM does not handle pet rescues or adoptions. If you are having financial difficulties which are causing you to consider giving up your pet because you can’t feed it, please reach out to one of our distribution partners listed above.

We get asked about Dallas a lot. With such a large need in the greater Fort Worth area, we are not able to expand out that far eastward. Helping pets is a team effort. See map below for eastward assistance.
